I’m sure by now we are all having those thoughts like, “I wish it was Summer so that I can have cookouts.” For the days where you can’t grill outside and crave delicious fall off the bone rack of ribs, then using your slow cooker to cook ribs is a great alternate!
This recipe is by far the easiest. Anyone who is a slow cooker beginner will love the simplicity of this recipe. The only thinking you’re going to do is choosing your favorite BBQ sauce!
Ingredients
2 Racks of Pork Ribs
16oz Favorite BBQ Sauce
1/4 Cup of Water
Slow Cooker
Foil-lined Baking Sheet
Serves: 4-6 People
Prep Time: 5 Minutes
Cook Time: 6 Hours
Serve w/: Quick Instapot Collard Greens, Baked Beans, Corn, Fries, or other Favorite Sides
Directions
Cut the ribs into 2-rib pieces so that the ribs can easily wrap around your slow cooker (standing straight up).
Dump 3/4 of your favorite bottle of BBQ Sauce over the ribs in the slow cooker, followed by the 1/4 cup of water. Then cover and set your slow cooker on Low for 6-8 hours or on High for 4 hours.
(Tip: Save 1/4 of your BBQ sauce to brush your ribs after cooking.)When the ribs are cooked, remove carefully and lay ribs in a single layer on a foil-lined baking sheet. Brush the remaining BBQ sauce on the ribs and place in the broiler on High for 3-4 minutes.
(Tip: If you’ve never used your broiler, it is usually in a separate compartment underneath your oven. The broiler creates a char much quicker than in the oven, so it is essential to remove your ribs after just a few minutes.)Remove and serve with your favorite BBQ sides!
(Tip: Gently remove your racks from your sheet to keep ribs from falling apart.)
